Snadesh's Story
Sandesh Dattatray Kurale isn't your typical tennis prodigy.
He grew up in Channekuppi, a small village in Maharashtra, training on a clay court his father— a farmer—built by hand on their farmland. With limited resources, Sandesh would travel 75 km by bus every weekend to Kolhapur for training, while practicing serves and fitness drills on the small home court during weekdays.
From 2013 to 2018, he followed this routine religiously. Later, he joined Arshad Desai Tennis Academy in Kolhapur, juggling school by day and training by night. To keep pursuing his dream, he even lived with his coach for 2-3 years.
Despite hardships, Sandesh rose to the national stage, eventually winning championships and defeating India's top-ranked players. After moving to Pune with a sponsor, he trained at a higher level but eventually returned to Kolhapur to refine his game with focus and determination.
Now, Sandesh is ready to represent India on the international stage—but professional tennis is expensive, and he needs your help to make his dream a reality.
